Living Room | Colorful Refresh

December 3

living room color tuesday morning

This post is sponsored by Tuesday Morning. All opinions are my own.

I like to play around with color and I am a fan of finding bargains. Today, I have teamed up with Tuesday Morning to bring you a color change in my living room. A color-filled room truly awakens something within me. Typically gravitate toward pinks, greens, oranges, grays, and yellows. I know its a kaleidoscope of colors.

The livingroom is a space we spend the most time in and often forget how tired things can get. I often forget that a simple update of a throw blanket and pillows can make it brighter and more inviting. The idea that we use it literally everyday and we manage to forget about it is crazy. Tuesday Mornings is packed with treasures that I used to update this forgotten space.

For this update, I didn’t want to make any major changes with furniture. My shopping list included new throw pillows, a rug and maybe some blankets. I went out on a hunt to my local Tuesday Mornings. I could get lost in the selection of decor items. This time around I went for a muted pink and pops of orange and blue. Blue was something new to my color palette. It goes so well with the muted pinks and oranges.

My living room is large and open, but because of the placement of the fireplace and the television, it can be challenging to change things up a bit. This why I always update the throw pillows. blankets and rugs. I was able to find these textured pink throws for $15.99. Also, the gray texture throw was $12.99 and I adore the fringe it pairs well with the rug.

Yes, the  100% wool rug is the star of this living room color change. I adore the tassels and the softness and it was $299.00. I love that it has small hints of gray, yellow, orange, white, blue and pink. The rug is a true statement piece. You can pair it with many different throws and decor as the season changes.

It’s really amazing how a rug and a couple new throws can change the vibes of a space. A color-filled space can be overwhelming if you don’t focus on pairing with a few solid pieces. This is where the throw blanket and pillows tone down things a bit.

Go check out your local Tuesday Mornings.

Too bad I can’t shop online at Tuesday Mornings. I’m in Canada, and there are no stores near me. I love that rug!

There are no words to describe my love for my Mama There are no words to describe my love for my Mama fully. She was my biggest fan, my greatest supporter, and the one who helped me navigate life through its many ups and downs. She prayed for me, encouraged me, and always believed in me, even when I doubted myself.

I owe her my life's work and every accolade I've achieved. She saw me through undergrad, guided me as I navigated Corporate America—even though she had never experienced it herself—and kept me grounded through it all.

She prayed with me in moments of joy and in times of need. She stood proudly by my side on my wedding day and cried with me through some of the most challenging moments of my life.

My mom saved my life in more ways than I can count. Her love and guidance shaped the person I am today, and her passing has forever changed me.

On November 26, 2024, Esther Gleaton went home to be with her ancestors. I find comfort in knowing she is finally at rest, free from pain, and in eternal peace.

My mother bravely faced a short but aggressive battle with Plasma Cell Leukemia, spending 72 days fighting inpatient at the Northside Hospital Cancer Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. She fought with courage, grace, and incredible strength.

In sickness and health, my father, Orbie Gleaton, was by her side daily. He saw her through the very dark days and celebrated the joyful moments with her.

His love and devotion to my mom never wavered—he never left her side. The love they shared is eternal and serves as a beautiful testament to the bond they built together.

Mama, your love will guide me forever. You are my heart, and I will carry you with me always.
