Boho Inspired Home Decor – Walmart

January 7

Boho Walmart decor

Last year I noticed Walmart had stepped up their game regarding home decor and furnishings. I bought a coffee table and then I grabbed a dresser for my master bedroom. They are both nice pieces. I have enjoyed them and so at Christmas, I visited Walmart for some Christmas decorations. I fell in love with a collection of bright and cheery items that were not in the store.

I do have a few tricks for shopping Walmart. Walmart is much like Amazon in that there is a market a place that other retailers can sell items. I typically restrict my search to Walmart as the retailer. If you want, there are other marketplace partners like Overstock, Hayneedle and various smaller brands. Today, I want to share with you some of the things I currently love and have ordered most of them for a light refresh throughout my home.

I adore this pom pom duvet set that I checked out without even adding anything else to my cart.

I have this thing with lamps. I buy them all the time. I cycle them out as if they were candles or single-use items. I am going to do better this year. I promise. This mid-century blue fabric lamp won my heart. It is perfect in every way I will probably use this in my bedroom on my Walmart dresser.

Then there are the white sheets. You cannot go wrong with a good sheet set. I have a king size bed and sometimes sheet sets can get expensive for good quality. I grabbed these up quickly because of the quality and pricing. You have to spend some time on the site and sort and filter to ensure you find the good deals.

In addition, I’ve struggled with curtains for my dining room. I have many colors going on and tried to balance the patterns with a pair of pink sheers. I don’t love them, but I don’t hate them either, but then I found these palm tree curtains for a really good price. I think they are unique but on trend with the tropical motif, I am loving right now. I would like to say it’s very Southern California/ Palm Springs inspired, but I am not sure. I just love them.

Finally, I am working on a new gallery wall. I have done eclectic frames and art before, but never a gallery in all white. I checked around and Walmart had the best pricing for matted frames in white. Here are a few of my favorite finds. They are the Mainstay Flat Wide White and the Museum collection, which both have 1.5-inch frames.

There are no words to describe my love for my Mama There are no words to describe my love for my Mama fully. She was my biggest fan, my greatest supporter, and the one who helped me navigate life through its many ups and downs. She prayed for me, encouraged me, and always believed in me, even when I doubted myself.

I owe her my life's work and every accolade I've achieved. She saw me through undergrad, guided me as I navigated Corporate America—even though she had never experienced it herself—and kept me grounded through it all.

She prayed with me in moments of joy and in times of need. She stood proudly by my side on my wedding day and cried with me through some of the most challenging moments of my life.

My mom saved my life in more ways than I can count. Her love and guidance shaped the person I am today, and her passing has forever changed me.

On November 26, 2024, Esther Gleaton went home to be with her ancestors. I find comfort in knowing she is finally at rest, free from pain, and in eternal peace.

My mother bravely faced a short but aggressive battle with Plasma Cell Leukemia, spending 72 days fighting inpatient at the Northside Hospital Cancer Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. She fought with courage, grace, and incredible strength.

In sickness and health, my father, Orbie Gleaton, was by her side daily. He saw her through the very dark days and celebrated the joyful moments with her.

His love and devotion to my mom never wavered—he never left her side. The love they shared is eternal and serves as a beautiful testament to the bond they built together.

Mama, your love will guide me forever. You are my heart, and I will carry you with me always.
