The holidays are in full swing and I know preparing your home for guests can be challenging. Today, I want to share my no bake strawberry shortcake. It’s a simple recipe, and I have a secret ingredient that just takes it up a notch. My guests always question what’s that extra flavor.  The recipe at its core is simple and requires little to no cooking skills to pull off successfully. However, no one has to know your secret because I don’t tell. I just say thank you.

I often find myself during the holidays searching for ways to keep the house joyful and full of holiday cheer. That means that not only do like simple recipes like my no bake strawberry shortcake, but I also like my home to smell good. This year I am loving the Glade® Happy Glow™ – Apple Cinnamon Scent. It comes in an 8 oz. Room Spray and a 3.4 oz. Small Jar Candle so that you can layer the scent. Looking for more ways to incorporate Glade® into your holiday plans check out the following link.

I use Glade® Happy Glow™ scent to ensure that while I am cheating with store-bought ingredients that my guests still feel the cheer and warmth of the holiday season. I got my goodies up for the recipe and the Glade® Happy Glow™ at my local Kroger. Also, on the Kroger displays is the Shazam logo that will link you to a Spotify playlist, video content, giveaways and much more. So hurry up and don’t miss out all the holiday cheer.

Omg that recipe is ridiculously simple! I can’t wait to try it! And I love the Glade Holiday scents. It always smells like something warm and comforting is baking in the oven even when there isn’t lol!

There are no words to describe my love for my Mama There are no words to describe my love for my Mama fully. She was my biggest fan, my greatest supporter, and the one who helped me navigate life through its many ups and downs. She prayed for me, encouraged me, and always believed in me, even when I doubted myself.

I owe her my life's work and every accolade I've achieved. She saw me through undergrad, guided me as I navigated Corporate America—even though she had never experienced it herself—and kept me grounded through it all.

She prayed with me in moments of joy and in times of need. She stood proudly by my side on my wedding day and cried with me through some of the most challenging moments of my life.

My mom saved my life in more ways than I can count. Her love and guidance shaped the person I am today, and her passing has forever changed me.

On November 26, 2024, Esther Gleaton went home to be with her ancestors. I find comfort in knowing she is finally at rest, free from pain, and in eternal peace.

My mother bravely faced a short but aggressive battle with Plasma Cell Leukemia, spending 72 days fighting inpatient at the Northside Hospital Cancer Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. She fought with courage, grace, and incredible strength.

In sickness and health, my father, Orbie Gleaton, was by her side daily. He saw her through the very dark days and celebrated the joyful moments with her.

His love and devotion to my mom never wavered—he never left her side. The love they shared is eternal and serves as a beautiful testament to the bond they built together.

Mama, your love will guide me forever. You are my heart, and I will carry you with me always.
